Veil of Time

2026 NIPA 2026

Veil of Time

Franco AMELIItalia

HONORABLE MENTION

Landscape

Entry type: Single

One of the forests in Portugal on the island of Fanal, located at 1,600 meters, is sometimes enveloped in a unique, almost mystical atmosphere. This isn't caused by fog, but rather by low-lying clouds that roll in during the afternoon due to specific atmospheric shifts. The remaining centuries-old trees stand spaced apart from one another, making it feel as though you are strolling through an open-air historical museum
