Clash in the Canopy

Partha Pratim RoySingapore

HONORABLE MENTION

Travel

Entry type: Single

In a mist-filled tropical village in Indonesia, men gather as two roosters meet in a dramatic burst of motion. Raised hands, animated expressions and the birds suspended mid-air capture the intensity of a deeply rooted local tradition. Framed by dense foliage and smoky light, the scene offers a vivid glimpse into rural life, community and customs rarely witnessed by outsiders.
