Red passage

2026 NIPA 2026

Red passage

Gian Paolo RussoItalia

HONORABLE MENTION

Street

Entry type: Single

I stood in the darkness of the archway, captivated by how the light was hitting those deep red walls, making them glow like a stage. I wanted to capture that feeling of stepping from the shadows into a world of color. I spent time finding the right angle to balance the street lamp and the window, but the scene felt incomplete—it needed a soul. I waited until a passerby stepped into the frame, finally turning that silent geometric passage into a living, breathing story.
