Avalanche

2026 NIPA 2026

Avalanche

Lorenzo PassalacquaAustralia

SILVER

Drone

Entry type: Single

This image captures the ocean not as a place of leisure, but as a force—vast, unstable, and alive. The wave collapses like an avalanche of water, surging with the destructive beauty of a mountainside in motion. At its edge, a lone surfer carves through the chaos, suspended between danger and grace. Avalanche is about the ocean’s relentless power and the fragile resilience of those who do not retreat from it, but choose to enter it, move within it, and face it head-on. In one suspended heartbeat.
