Description
A critically endangered Javan Blue-banded Kingfisher, found only on the Indonesian island of Java, returns to its perch with a freshly caught fish. Suspended for a fleeting moment with wings raised and water droplets trailing behind, it reveals the speed and precision of a successful hunt—and the fragile beauty of one of Java’s rarest birds.
