A man and a whale; two beings from entirely different worlds, yet deeply connected. This photograph tells a story far greater than a rescue. It reflects humanity at its best and worst. The same species capable of harming nature is also capable of risking everything to protect it. For me, it is a reminder that we are not separate from the natural world. Every action leaves an imprint. We have the power to harm, but also the responsibility and ability to protect.
