Children notice things we've long stopped seeing. This boy's total absorption in something as small as a grasshopper reminds me why I love photographing childhood - that capacity for wonder, for treating the tiniest creature as the most important thing in the world. I wonder who is more transfixed, the boy with the cricket or the cricket with the boy.
