Description
At Trælanípan, in the Faroe Islands, the landscape seems to lose all human scale. A monumental wall of rock rises above the Atlantic, while the still waters of Lake Sørvágsvatn lie just beyond the cliff. Light breaks through the clouds and dissolves into the horizon, making the land appear suspended between ocean and sky. With this image, I wanted to convey the overwhelming scale of a place where the land seems to reach its limit and the world beyond disappears into light and infinity.
