Description
For a few seconds before sunset and after sunrise, just as the sun crests over the horizon, the light takes on a pink hue. That pink wave crashes over the snow, rocks, sand, and clouds, giving an ethereal yet utterly transient view of the world. Almost as soon as it arrives, it is gone, replaced by the blue of dusk or the golden morning light.
For this series I sought to capture not only the subject but the source. The pink snow, rocks, clouds, as well as the sun that gives them that color.
