Description
At the end of a narrow stone passage in Montmajour Abbey close to Arles (France), a circular opening gathers the available light into a single luminous form. Rough masonry directs the gaze towards an oculus that reveals no clear destination. Architecture becomes an uncertain threshold between enclosure and release, material weight and the unknown.
