Description
An area of downtown Los Angeles called Santee Alley is considered the epicenter of the fashion district. A vibrant diverse clothing shops all crammed into a narrow street highlights some of the chaos of people searching for something to wear. I was specifically struck by this platform of mannequins in their festive white outfits shrouded in plastic to keep the dust off. It felt eerie to me seeing the empty smiles behind that cheap veil covering. Made me question humanity's sense of vanity.
