This is a top-down drone photograph of a large fever of cownose rays gliding together in unison just off the coast of New York in the Atlantic Ocean. These rays are known to migrate from Florida to New England waters in August each year. It is fascinating to watch increasingly more arrive each day until one day they are just gone on their way back south.
