Description
Since January 1, 2026, I have photographed my hometown of Alūksne, a small town in northern Latvia, using only a smartphone. Rather than seeking extraordinary events or decisive moments, the project explores how sustained attention transforms the perception of familiar places. It asks how photography can deepen our awareness of everyday life and whether careful observation can make the familiar visible again.
